Grant Dawson brings over 20 years of environmental and criminal law experience to the Wildlife Justice Commission. Prior to joining the Commission, he worked as Senior Legal Adviser and Chief of Cabinet of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Principal Legal Officer of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Deputy Chef de Cabinet and Legal Officer at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, Assistant Attorney General of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Litigation Associate in New York City, and Judicial Law Clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Mr Dawson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics from Columbia College and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Centre. He is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Groningen, Faculty of Law, Department of Transboundary Legal Studies.
