Hendrik-Jan Laseur

Hendrik-Jan Laseur is a seasoned leader with a passion for driving positive change in both business and civil society. In 2010 he founded Lead the Change, a company dedicated to fostering powerful leadership within civil society organisations as they grapple with some of the most important issues of our time. Mr Laseur is also a Partner at Sum People, a niche leadership development partnership based in Switzerland, where he works with leading European companies, and at Leaders’ Quest, a social enterprise committed to enhancing the impact of leaders worldwide through experiential leadership journeys. His work spans across Europe, the US, and Asia, engaging with a diverse range of clients including a wide range of businesses, NGO’s, advocacy organisations, philanthropists, and the United Nations.

Mr Laseur’s extensive professional background includes senior positions at UNICEF and ABN AMRO Bank, where he worked in New York, Zurich, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Tokyo over a period spanning almost 2 decades. He has also held board roles at prominent organisations such as the Adessium Foundation, the Centre for Public Integrity/ICIJ, SustainAbility, and IUCN NL.

His educational background includes an MBA from INSEAD in France, a Master’s degree in Economics from the Universiteit of Groningen, and International Relations post-graduate studies at Clingendael Institute, The Hague. He is fluent in Dutch, English, German, and French, and is learning Portuguese.
