Isabel has over 20 years professional experience in communications, both in the private and the non-for-profit sectors. Passionate about environmental issues, she joined the Wildlife Justice Commission (WJC) in 2017 as Communication Director, where she leads the development and implementation of strategic communication plans aimed at enhancing WJC efforts to help disrupt and dismantle transnational, organised wildlife crime.
Prior to becoming part of the WJC team, Isabel was an independent international consultant for 12 years, leading communications and advocacy projects mainly for international entities and corporates, delivering consultancy studies aimed at helping organisations expand their funding capacity and freelancing for thematic magazines and news agencies. Earlier on, Isabel was Communications Manager for Médecins Sans Frontières Spain, following a few years in the television business. She had previously worked in the media department of Greenpeace International at its HQ in Amsterdam.
A Spanish national, Isabel holds a Bachelor in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and a diploma on leadership and management of non-profits by leading ESADE Business School.
