Dr. A.H.E.M. ‘Nout’ Wellink 

Former President of the Dutch Central Bank
Dr. Nout Wellink is the former President of the Dutch Central Bank (1997-2011). During his Presidency, Dr. Wellink also served as a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements. His secondary functions have included membership of the supervisory boards of a number of profit and non-profit organisations. Dr. Wellink was, among others, an independent non-executive director of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and vice-chairman of the supervisory board of PwC Netherlands. He was awarded a Knighthood in the Order of the Netherlands Lion and is Commander of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
