Dr Sam Muller

Sam is the founding Executive Director of the Wildlife Justice Commission and is currently the Chair of its Supervisory Board. An international lawyer, Sam has extensive experience in working on matters related to international criminal justice, justice strategy and innovating justice systems.

Sam is currently CEO at The Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law (HiiL). Before his work at HiiL he was closely involved in setting up the International Criminal Court and worked for the Yugoslav Tribunal (ICTY), the UN refugee agency for Palestine refugees and Leiden University. He also led the setting up of the Justice Leadership Group. He is Chair of the Supervisory Board of the World Wildlife Fund – The Netherlands and he is also active within the World Economic Forum.
