Saskia Cornelissen has over 20 years of professional experience in the non-profit sector. In her former role as Head of Finance and Operations at the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, Ms Cornelissen managed the transition and expansion of the organisation financially and in terms of human resources and corporate housing. Ms Cornelissen had previously worked at two other museums and at the administration of a local government and volunteered as board member of a theatre. Ms Cornelissen graduated from Leiden University with a Master of Public Administration after obtaining Bachelor’s Degrees in Cultural Business Administration and photographic design. During the last decade, she became familiar with Southern Africa, where she witnessed the visible decline of land and ocean wildlife and its enormous effect on the environment and communities.
Ms Cornelissen joined the Wildlife Justice Commission in 2020 as the Director of Finance and Services.
