Public Hearing

Our investigations have ‘bite’, if insufficient action is taken we will hold a Public Hearing, effectively forcing the issue onto the global stage.

If, after providing the national authorities our evidence and attempting to engage and influence them through the national dialogue process, there is still insufficient action taken to disrupt the criminal networks identified, we will hold a Public Hearing.

The purpose of a Public Hearing is to:

  • Persuade the relevant government to act;
  • Have the Map of Facts validated by an independent, impartial panel of experts; and
  • Come with recommendations for how best to activate justice

The first public hearing was based on the Viet Nam case and took place on the 14 & 15 November 2016 in the Peace Palace – #WJCVietnam
