Vietnamese Environmental Police Seize 200 Kg Of Ivory, Arrest Suspect

The Vietnamese Environmental Police successfully arrested a suspect and seized 200 kg of ivory in Hanoi earlier this week. This seizure is the result of specific intelligence provided by our team about the operation of a major trafficking network.

The ivory has as street value of USD 90,000 and represents approximately 20 elephants. Investigations continue and further arrests are anticipated.

This seizure brings the amount of ivory seized by the Environmental Police acting on our information to 1571 kg (over 157 elephants) in the last 2 years.
