On 17 January 2019, the Wildlife Justice Commission convened its annual partner meeting in Amsterdam. This gathering was a great opportunity for us to actively engage with our partners, updating them on our current developments and plans for the near future. Our senior staff members explained our intelligence-led approach, current investigations across the supply chain and their impact, our dialogue with stakeholders and our work towards improving policies that effectively address wildlife crime.
We want to thank all of our partners for attending this event, their contributions to the discussion and their feedback about our work. Their support is crucial for us to advance in our mission to disrupt wildlife crime networks.
The event, kindly hosted by the international law firm Stibbe, also allowed our partners the opportunity to engage with each other and to discuss areas of common interest.
We were joined at the end by a high-level delegation from the Vietnamese Environmental Police, who were visiting us at our offices in The Hague that same week to discuss our continued cooperation and the most effective ways to work together to tackle wildlife crime.
