Great news this week! In the run-up to the annual Charity Gala of the Dutch Postcode Lottery (Nationale Postcode Loterij), which takes place on 4 March 2019, they surprised us with a donation of EUR 500,000. The Wildlife Justice Commission has been granted permanent beneficiary status, which means that the same donation will be made every year for the next 5 years.
Ongoing support
We are extremely grateful and indebted to the Nationale Postcode Loterij for their generous and ongoing support and the confidence they have placed in our team and our work. They have been a strategic funder since our earliest days. Their unrestricted funding has allowed us to allocate resources more efficiently and to conduct those interventions that can achieve the biggest impact against wildlife trafficking and the criminal networks responsible for it.
During their yearly Charity Gala, the Nationale Postcode Loterij announces how much it can donate to charities, thanks to its participants, to whom we would also like to extend our gratitude to.
Dutch Postcode Lottery
The Nationale Postcode Loterij (NPL) has been raising funds since 1989 to support organisations working towards a fairer and greener world. Fifty percent of the lottery’s annual turnover goes to charity. Since the start in 1989, the Dutch Postcode Lottery has contributed € 5.8 billion to charity organisations.
